Full Moon
Bright silver goddess, pearly queen of the starry sky, she rules the night in the fullness of her power. She smells of jasmine and tastes of distant mystery, like far snow-capped mountains. We see her full face turned towards us, the power of her beauty shining down on us, yet she hides as much as she illuminates, her bright countenance a glamourye upon human eyes.
Gentle winds caress her and misty clouds cannot dim her. She is resplendent in her power, sending out gleaming threads that we may gather and weave into our magic. She sings through the night, her voice pure and true, ringing like crystal bells, reverberating across the firmament, filtering through the winds, the waters, the earth. The sparkling waves fall and crash at her behest, she is the luminous empress that draws in all things to her flowing cyclicity.
You can taste her silver on your lips and swim in her light. Lay down beneath her and let her hold you, bathe you in wilderment soak you in wild spirit, until your bones glow and your eyes spark. She glows in her fullness, knowing that soon she will release and begin her slow descent into the darkness.
Full Moon, Mother Moon, Silver Moon, Moon of Night that rises as the sun sets and sets as the sun rises, bestow your power on us, fill us with your ethereal energy. Show us how to rejoice in your night, to fill the world with beauty and enchantment, to slip free the bonds of everyday life and allow your lunar energy to fill us and sweep us away in music, magic and dance.
The night lives in your light and the veil between this world and the otherworld becomes so thin that we may reach out and push through it. The spirits of sacred land, wild waters and untamed winds play freely in the open, stones awake to dance and sing. May you show us how to open ourselves to the endless wonder of the world around us and stand in our power, wild and free in mind, body and soul. Show us how to embrace all of our power so that we may release and let go with grace and wisdom as we slip from our zenith.
